“My first century ride this year took place last Wednesday here in Western Nebraska. I had an amazing day, leaving Paxton on my Surly ECR and heading for Lewellen, which is just on the west side of Lake McConaughey.
I chose this specific route because I had heard of a specific road south of the lake that I just had to check out.
Some of the photos are of this desolate road where I didn’t see a single car for a good 15 miles both ways down this road.
I also used this ride as a training ride, as I will be racing the Tour Divide this year from Banff, Canada to Antelope Wells, New Mexico.
The entire ride ended up at 115 miles for the day”
